MEET THE CHEF
Food has been a major part of my life since before I can remember. From being next to my Mom cooking her style which was Spanish with a huge French influence, to being next to my Grandma cooking Tex-Mex with a huge influence from the south, lil did I know it would further turn into a living.
I started as a steward back in 1996 while attending high school. After graduating, I met my wife and started a family. Of course being a young father, having a family to raise, I was unable to attend culinary school so I worked a lot of odd jobs. I worked at Jiffy Lube, Safeway, I did construction, valet parking. I was even a non emergency ambulance driver for a while. All the time I kept a part time job in the kitchen as my family was growing. In 2007, I was finally able to pursue my career full time. I've had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented chefs across the nation. Some of the places include, Loveland and Ft. Collins Colorado, Salina Kansas, St. George Utah, Tampa Florida, Yellowstone Club in Big Sky Montana, and of course our beautiful Coachella Valley here in Southern California.
As an Executive Chef and a Sous Chef over the years, I've worked on many special events and private parties. Now, having 4 beautiful kids, I am in a position where I can be there for them in a more significant role as well as continue on with my culinary passion.
As a personal Chef I am proud of what I do because I get to work directly with people and to me, food is not only a necessity, it also brings people together.

Chef Jacob was such a treat to have at my sister's Bachelorette Party! He was extremely professional and kind, very easy to coordinate with before officially booking him as well as once we had made the deposit. The best part, of course, was the food. We devoured it within minutes. Honestly probably the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. We elected to do family style and we all had a little bit of everything. Thank goodness we did because all the food we ate was top notch quality and so so tasty. He fed 14 pretty picky eaters like it was a piece of cake. Not to mention this was all in the most convenient spot--home! I would definitely book Chef Jacob again.

I worked with Jacob to prepare a Surf & Turf dinner for our group of 12 people in June 2017 at a private residence that we had rented for the weekend. Jacob was incredibly responsive in all my communications with him, and very flexible in putting together a delicious menu that fit within our budget. He was also easily able to accommodate any dietary restrictions in our group. He was very prepared and coordinated with me to stop by the house the day before so he could make sure that the kitchen had all the tools he needed and all the appropriate serving dishes. He put together a three course meal for us, consisting of a spinach salad with goat cheese and beets, ribeye and lobster tail with roasted vegetables, and a decadent chocolate cake. Not only was the food delicious, but he also took the time to plate each individual course beautifully for each guest. Jacob was extremely professional in all of our interactions, and was very comfortable in the kitchen with our group asking him all about some of his cooking tips and tricks. I would absolutely recommend Jacob for any group event!
Jacob Perez came in to cook brunch for an extremely hungover bachelor party group and essentially performed some miracles to get us back to our former statuses as functional parts of society. He came highly recommended and he did not disappoint. His entire staff were extremely nice and professional and the food was delicious. As an added bonus, they did not once comment on how disheveled we looked or the pungent aroma emanating from the living room where we all lounged around in various states of disrepair.
I give Jacob my full recommendation for any activity that requires his culinary mastery. You will thank me after.

I used Jacob for a special dinner event celebrating a very special person. Mr. Perez worked with me to create a special Menu for my guests, I had meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans all in attendance, and he made sure there was something for everyone. His professionalism, skills, and service was impeccable. His mouth watering Filet Mignon with red wine demi glace reduction, whipped potatoes & sautéed vegetables is nothing short of amazing-My absolute favorite! I highly recommend Chef Perez, and can not rave enough how spectacular his food & service is, and how beautiful the presentation was. I exclusively use Chef Perez for all of my events.

A+++++ Jacob and his team catered my dad's 70th Birthday Party. It was 50's themed and he made sliders (the best sliders I have ever eaten) with really good beef, caramelized onions and this delicious sauce. He also did French fries and milk shakes for over 50 people. Everyone raves about the food and all asked for his info for there next party. Jacob from the beginning was super organized, fast and efficient. He made everything so easy and I could not be happier. We will be using him for every party we throw in the desert!

Im so sorry that I did not post this sooner, I can tell you this that EVERY day i think that i need to acknowledge what a great guy Chef Jacob is and Your Sous Chef....
So here it is....
He Is Amazing this guy is the real deal, he is honest and genuine cooks chops and works to your schedule and does with what ever you want. I felt so comfortable from the get go and thats a plus. He delivered and was on time, looking very professional and prepared.
Chef Jacob came had the meal as agreed on target, chopped prepped and severed us and blessed us with an amazing time. The scallops. the salad and prime rib was perfect and a lovely presentation, it could not have been sweetener. Jacob also brought his sweet wife who came and served and helped out, what a bonus.. One nice treat too, is that he brought his own plates and took them as well, so no clean up for the host.
We Will not hesitate to use Chef Jacob again. He is the perfect SOUS chef and I can not thank him enough for his help on making a great dinner for our dear friend Arnie 69th birthday..
On a side note Arnie died 4 days later sadly, we find comfort in the fact that he had a wonderful lovely favorite meal in his own home with his dear family and friends.
We hired Chef Jacob for brunch for 8 people at an Airbnb in Palm Springs this Sunday, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Jacob was prompt and responsive from the beginning, offering a variety of brunch menus to choose from, and he was very flexible and accommodating with our menu and add-on requests. He is very professional yet easy going, and his wife was just as talented and fun! My girlfriends devoured the delicious Mexican Brunch they prepared, and we couldn't stop talking about how yummy all the food was. Jacob even baked us the best chocolate chip cookies as a surprise at the end, such a thoughtful touch. Our kitchen was clean and spotless after they left, they are the best!! Jacob/Your Sous Chef is definitely a Palm Springs staple for us moving forward. Highly Recommend!!

WEEKLY MEAL PLANS
Gourmet Weekly Meals are a flat rate of $25 per meal, with a minimum of 10 meals per week per household. Each individual is allowed a total of 7 dinners and 7 lunches for a maximum of 14 meals per person per week.
Special/Customized diets are available(additional fees will apply)
$100 one time deposit for semi-disposable meal plan vessels or $20 per week for disposable vessels.
These rates cover the following-groceries/food, shopping, menu planning, travel/delivery, Chef services, pantry items & spices
